A Guest Section

I propose a guest section where the people who have never been to this forum can kind of learn the ropes. It should be noticeable like an announcement in the "Newcomer" section or just a whole section in blue text that says "Guest section." It would have a link to the newcomers section saying to make a post to get noticed and to register and maybe comment on a topic in the pool room or make a challenge in the battlefield. Then it would have a link to the xat chatroom because I've heard that some people have a hard time finding it. I am proposing this idea on the account of I have brought a few people to this forum and they don't know what to do so they leave. For those newcomers we will soon have we want them to actually join and not just look around. Open for discussion ^^

I suggest that the portal becomes the front page, and we have a permanant announcement there, or a tab of some sort, saying all that. I really like the idea anyhow. We should have it, as a lot of random members who come here have no clue what to do.

If portal would be front page, then some might not find forums...lol (Maybe we should add the top 100 banner to index anyways?)

The Portal is the site's front page. Those who type in the URL will see the portal, not the forums.

Any newcomer is very well able to see the navigation bar, and the buttons provided on that bar are exactly meant to help members and guests access the site. I won't appease to laziness, and a newcomer that is still clueless as to what to do is someone I'd rather not have around.

I see the forum first when I type www.smashunderground.darkbb.com in the address bar.
