This election concerns EVERYONE; Kingdom's education, health care, and countless other aspects of his future are on the line. I absolutely commend him for having interest and concern about the election, which will undoubtedly shape his future. I only wish you had the same interests, Brawler.

Re: Elections
To be fair with Brawler, I can see how he says elections don't concern him. A lot of us don't really watch elections. We usually leave this matter to our parents. Some families watch and view Election together and some leave it to parents. My family leaves it up to parents. Honestly, I don't really care who gets in or not (sorry if that seems terribly shallow). As long as they run the Country to a better state then it is in now then I am fine. Also, I don't deal with Elections since I have other matters to attend to such as school, friends, this Site, etc. Everyone has different views and personalities. Brawler has a carefree attitude (nothing wrong with that) and Kingdom has an involved attitude (nothing wrong with this either). Brawler has different interest and there is nothing wrong with that.

Re: Elections
I strongly agree with Guru. Shape your future? Darn right it will.
It's true that you aren't affected, because you are with your family and have their income. However, once you guys start going into college, and start filing for student loans, NOW you're going to want to pay attention to who you're voting for.
Each different candidate has their own view on how to help the economy, and all this stuff.
Do you guys know how important the stock market is!?
It's been crashing, essentially. And even though we all are lucky and are reasonably secure, people less fortunate than us, and seniors, and college students are particularly feeling the burn.
I don't understand the stock market, heck, I'm still slightly confused about pork barrel spending.
But this is one of the most important elections we will EVER live through.
We should care. People today don't realize how much this affects them. If everyone in America just didnt care about politics (a lot dont... which is sad)
thats how we get random idiots like Jesse Vanchura, who cant even spell, or talk correctly.
I know you guys aren't that interested in politics, and thats ok. But you need to start thinking about it. This will affect you, and right now it's affecting how your city, state, and country is run.
Just think. Maybe you'll start understanding some of it.
Then, you'll be smarter than your peers, and won't be in some party college, or work at McDonalds. *shiver*
(Sorry for people who may be in some college like that, or got offended by this)
If you read all that, that is your first step to being a more patriotic person. I strongly encourage you to be one.
If you skimmed, or didn't read it, darn. Please do so, or at least read this one word: LISTEN.
(P.S By the way, I'm voting for John McCain. BOO abortion! Finish the war! Good health care plan! Help us in education! Yay!)

Same here. That is exactly why I closed this thread. Rants and arguments. *sigh*
Like I said, everyone has different personalities and interest. Brawler and I don't pay attention to the elections. A few reason I tend to divert from election thread is because: 1. Arguments and pointless rants are spawn. 2. It's a bunch of old timers yelling out hollow promises and when they get into the White House they DO NOTHING TO HELP THIS COUNTRY AND MAKE IT EVEN WORST (see the last recent 8 years of the U.S. history). 3. It's boring and repetitive. 4. From my own personal experience it causes fights at my school (phyiscal fights). 5. see reason 2 again. 6. I'm much to busy with my own life. 7. I'd rather study or play Brawl then watch a debate.
Also, the debates are meaningless. If you want to waste your times watching the debate then more power to you. To me I see the 'debate' as two people fighting and trying to ruin each other by answering questions. Instead of answering about how they will actually HELP to country they sit back and take shots at each other. These are the future leaders of the United States? If so then I don't see how their meaningless promises will ever be put into play. They call it a 'Debate' but from what I see it is no debate. Only fighting, which leads to destruction in the end.
Also, I'm not stupid. I know about the crashing stock market, I know how all that stuff works. I have to listen to my parents talk about that stuff in the car all the time.
I probably sound dumb to you guys but that is my view on the Elections. When I get to the age when I have to vote I will take on that subject. Other than that, don't tell me what I should and shouldn't be interested in.

Re: Elections
I wouldnt call them : "pointless rants"
And I wouldnt say I was "wasting my time"
At least try to not make it seem like I'm some idiot watching political wrestling.
Good to see why you think that though, wasn't trying to say any1 in here doesn't know about the stock market, but a ton of people in my high school dont.

Re: Elections

I don't really believe in either of the presidents.. it's like picking the lesser of the evils..
Obama's racists against whites and I just don't think he's going to live up to the expectations he's putting out there.. he'll probably be shot by some drunken KKK member.
McCain is pro war.. republican, lol.. supported by bush. (which I don't think Bush is... retarded completely.. just slightly, just a good actor mostly.) But I think, or hope, that he would be able to run the country with a little more promise, but I think he's wasting his time by just bashing Obama every chance he gets.
I would probably vote McCain..

Crap, I forgot to put that this isn't directed and any Smash Underground members <.<;;;.
I was calling the debates pointless rants. Not yours. I wasn't trying to make you look like an idiot. I was just voicing my view on Politics.
Again, this is why this topic should have stayed locked <_<. Which gives me an idea !!!!
