Our Very Own Ventrilo Server is Up!

Hey guys. I thought it'd be awesome for this site to have a way in which we could all collectively chat server, so I got us a Ventrilo server up and running.

For those unaware, Ventrilo is a great program that allows users to verbally communicate with each other. It's a free program; all you'd need is a microphone and you'll be set. It can be downloaded here: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php (Be sure to download the Client Program, NOT the Server one)

Please note that for now, since this will be OUR chat, no outside members will be allowed to use our Vent channel. Zero's Warcraft clan, MLW, may be the exception (depends on Zero).

I also ask that when using Vent, use your forum name at all times so that we can properly identify you.

Hopefully the server will help us experience Smash at a whole new level. Enjoy, guys!

If Webcam has inbuild mic, does that work? (Though I Propably wouldn't be there much)

Do USB Mics work? Cause the one from Guitar Hero is a USB Mic and I'm too poor to buy one

Like he said, just move the cable of headphones to where mic should be. It's not too much of a hack.

Orly? I tried using the earphones I got with my Ipod but that didn't seem to work...Looks I'll have to wait for Christmas...IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!

Hey, Plaid. to answer ur question, Ventrillo supports both typing, and voice chat. so thats the benfit.

I dont have a mic, but i have vent, so maybe i oculd just be a typer and listen to u guys talk. ill try the head phone thing tho.
