You know what really grinds my gears?
I just noticed it, but it happens a lot.. when your fighting someone and they keep using the same character.. over.. and over.. and over.. and over.. and over...... and over and by the 4th or 5th time fighting the same character (winning or losing) it starts to get pretty boring..
Does anybody else feel like that or is it just me?

I dont really care... When they use the same char it allows me to see their best and strongest weakness. when i play i switch up my mains for fun and i get bored using the same char, but thats just my opinion.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
well sometimes a person is trying to get better with that character. so it'd be pointless for him/her to switch to a different character to fight you. :p lol.

For serious matches, it'd make no sense to switch into a character with which you have no experience. If it's a casual game, then yea... playing the same one over and over could get boring. It's fun to change characters in that situation.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
@ Brawler: If you're referring to the "No bird soars too high, if it soars with its own wings" quote, I did not get it from that show. It's a quote from William Blake, an 18th-century Romantic poet.
Agreed. I'd rather have near perfect and complete mastery of one character than have mediocre skills with all, so I stick with my main as often as I can.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I suppose.. but either way by increasing your skill with multiple characters not only do you learn variety but you learn how to play that different character which in turn can help you fight those characters..
Either that or you can just watching a lot of youtube videos which I just don't find as entertaining. :"B

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
@ Brawler: "Make Love, Not War" is a quote from the Hippie Movement in the 60's, and was used to protest Vietnam. It's one of two of my favorite pacifist quotes.
@ Beigt: What you say is definitely true. However, I've learned several characters' playstyles through simple experience playing against them. I feel that playing against characters, you can learn the ins and outs of that character just as efficiently as actually using those characters.
Gotta agree with you with the video thing; just watching "pro" youtube video aren't nearly as entertaining or useful as actually playing. No video can teach you adaptibilty, reflexes, or ingenuity.
