The rules for Leauge Matches are as follows

-Matches are best two out of three rounds.
-Rounds are 3 stock, 7 minutes.
-No items permitted.
-When the Schedule is made, each player is assigned "Home" and "Away" matches, the "Home" player always gets to select the first stage. Must select a neutral stage.
-The looser of a round picks the stage for the next round. May pick Neutral or a Counterpick stage.
-Two stage bans per player. These bans are selected at the beginning of the league and may be changed at the beginning of a new month.

Update

The Season and Playoffs, how they work.

-The Season will have you playing 50 best 2 out of 3 matches, 22 in December, 28 in January.

-Schedules that determine who you play will be made by myself and/or the events team. You will play each other player at least 2 times, one home game, one away.

-A game report thread will be posted. Each player may make only one post in this topic. Update that post by using the edit button each day before 10:00 eastern time. In your updates, Please add the date, and the games you've played on that date, and next to each game put either a S, W, L, or FL to indicate the outcome. (S = Sweep, winning the first two games of the set in a row, W = Win, winning the set in 3 games, L = Loss, losing the set in 3 games, FL = Full loss, being swept and loosing the first 2 games. Remember to be honest, if you report your game went one way and it doesn't match up with your opponents report, then we have a problem.)

-At the end of the season, the top 8 players will get into the playoffs, a best 3-of-5 elimination style tournament. The #1 seed will match up against the #8, #2 vs #7, #3 vs #6, and #4 vs #5. The Player with the highest point total will always face up with the player with the lowest, and the highest point total also gets home field advantage. So rack up as many points as possible to earn this advantage!

-Tiebreakers : If two players are tied in the standings, the following statistics will be taken into account to decide who gets the higher place in the standings. If the first tiebreaker is also a tie, then we move on to the next tiebreaker to determine.

3- Most Sweeps
4- Who has the better record in games between the two players

The rules are fine but why isn't Corneria, Temple, or Halberd on Counterpicks?

I'll add a few suggestions.

- Repeat Rule (aka Dave's Stupid Rule): No player may choose the same stage that he/she has already won in.

- Infinites Ban: This should include Dedede's standing grab, which is currently unavoidable.

The release grab "infinite" is no longer classified as such, with the discovery of EIDI. However, with wifi being... wifi, EIDI will be near impossible to pull off consistently. A ban on this is for the season is debatable, I'd say. Up to you guys.

- Excessive Stalling Ban: Use of moves like Jigg's rising pound or Fox's shine to excessively stall will call for the player's disqualification of that match.

Other than that, the ruleset looks good.

As much as I DESPISE Infinites and stalling (A.K.A. Playing like a douche.), I think we should leave it... We'll say its frowned upon. Like I said, Theres a code of sportsmanship I expect and hope everyone will follow. If your play style is generally annoying and people do not like playing against you, you may not be welcome back for season 2. So, remember, sportsmanship, don't do anything to your opponent that you wouldn't like to have done to you.

I still don't quite get counterpick stages. Does wifi automatically let the loser pick the stage? I didn't think it did... And otherwise, how would the person who won know what stage the loser wanted to counterpick?

Sadly, wifi doesn't do that... it just randomly chooses 1 of the stages selected by either player. Shouldn't be an issue, though; players should just let each other know of their counterpicks through the Underground chat.

Kingdom, that was a perfectly fair game. I watched it. And if you complain about smashville, the most neutral stage, thats just <.<

Not to sound whiny or annoying, but you have absolutely no right to complain. I spiked you at Castle Siege, which would have taken away your last life and made it a sweep, but the stupid stage changed right as you fell through it, so instead, you just were knocked into the "changing" part of the stage. Also, Smashville is widely considered the most fair stage in the game. If I sound annoyed, it's because I am.

LOL. Wow!!! Do you actually think there wasn't a reason i chose castle siege? There is no question i knew what i was doing as that is the only place i choose and you didn't. And I have a bad experience with tl and any other character capable of spamming on smashville. Imo the most fair stage=bf
