I disagree sir. Sometimes a monochromatic color scheme is very appropriate if used fittingly, and done properly as well as with a purpose. Like if you want to establish a sad, cool feel or something, shades of grey or blue only works great. Just wanted to say that so Jag doesn't get the impression that mono color schemes = bad.

Anyways, Knuckles is very nice considering your experience level. Looks like you understand how to work with different layers, blending modes, colors, opacity, and brushes nicely. I agree with most of what Zeph said, but I feel the need to add the suggestion of blending your focal point (Knuckles) with the rest of the sig more. Either put some slight brush effects in front of him to pull him into the sig rather than just having him hanging out in the foreground and looking awkward, or change his colors slightly so that the red of his skin (fur?) blends with the red of the background better.

I changed the lighting so now it looks like this.

I feel really disappointed in myself, if you like it, I'm happy.

Jag, if you're going to use text like that, you should find a way to make it stand out. First, I think the choice in color was a bit off, blue and orange kinda clash, secondly, if the text is hard to read, there are some things you can try, at the bottom of the layers toolbox, there is an "F" or an "Fx" depending on which photoshop you use. Click it, and you'll be given a bunch of options, try adding a Stroke, Outer Glow, or Drop Shadow to make it stand out a bit more.

I also think your background in this one could use some... toning down. The pattern is a bit too obvious, use teh sublety!

Other than that, woo Zidane!

Yea, I think the colors kind of clash as well...Other than that, I KNEW THAT WOULD BE RAIMU's sig! It's a girl as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You shouldn't deny critique bro, it's the fastest way to improve. I was going to point some things out and talk about what could make that sig better, but I do like my throat where it is.

Also, Knuckles looks muuuuuch better.

Once again, I'm going to go at two main things that jump out, 1, theres a layer thats somewhat of a harsh pinkish color that stands out in a bad way in there, and 2, the text is really difficult to read. Try the drop shadow Jag!

Keep practicing, you're doing good Next time we talk I'll discuss some different techniques with you.

Doc, I'm not denying the criticism, I know that I don't have any lighting or flow but I just can't do it. So I was just pointing out I don't need to hear it. Also, yes, Knuckles is way better.

Raimu...Yea that pinkish thing was one of the C4Ds I used that had some red parts in it, I really liked the C4D so I just changed the color of it and and tried to put layers over it...Personally I think it looks pretty kickass. And also I'm just very bad with font...Yea.

Now, Marty wants me to fix his sig people are over me at that MarioKart forum with 15 000 members. This is gonna be a busy week.
