Smash Points explanation.

Credit to Zero, who came up with the idea of it, and to Rei Kaze and me, for improving and brainstorming ideas.


How to get Smash Points:
1.) Win 1, 2, or 3, in a tourney. 15, 10, 5. points.

2.) For those with artistic talent, making a sig generally approved by everyone, gets you 15 points. Perhaps have this be in a raffle, or an auction.

3.) If we ever have clan wars, or gyms up again, moving up in them gives you 5 points.

4.) If you discover a new AT, or something no one else has discovered yet, you get 200 points (Good Luck with finding one though, please dont spam random stuff just to get this, it will be a long process.)


How to SPEND Smash Points:
1.) Get a custom title! 200 Points. (Admins dont have the time to constantly change this, and its a nice thing, so very expensive.)

2.) Make a tournament. 50 points.

3.) You can bet against other players in matches, to gain points off of another CONSENTING brawler, note that you cannot bet more than 50 points.

4.) If you spend 75 points, and you can have the general consensus of the forum to be that you're really good at ____ character, you can have a little honorary title of being the "Lucas Master" or something.

5.) Participate in a raffle of some kind, to be put in as an entry to win a prize.

6.) Participate in a special tournament, that requires smash points to attend.

7.) I'm unclear of what else to add to buy, please help add at least 5, because having more options to get points and less to buy will leave everyone rich and bored, and making Smash Points a failure.

NOTE: If you do anything to annoy, harrass, or go against the rules, all your Smash Points are taken away temporarily.


This whole process requires the HONOR SYSTEM. Please do not lie, or come up with stuff that is fake that will get you points. Not only is it not worth it, but if enough people do this I think the system should be discarded.

I can create a link to a page that can be constantly updated with everyone's points. You would have to wait till I came on to purchase anything. I think it owuld be a good diea to have an auction to sell off items, so you don't get rich off one sig and you have to keep creating. I also think you should start off with none, so if you donate points to someone then you don't spam creating new accounts.

i like i just think that the 25 for participating in the tourny is a little much

i also think that you should pay 10 to start a tourny and for participating you should pay w/e the tourny host wants and he shouls get whatever is left over after giving each person a certain amount

Guys, I must say this is very important.

I WANT IT TO STAY IN THE 25 50 75 100 NUMBER RANGE!

Giving 10, 5, 15, 20, that will make the math much more complicated. People with 135 trying to buy stuff will only make keeping track of this stuff annoying.

Plus, we shouldnt tax people to join tournies. We want people to join. If we tax, good, active people who just bought something might not be able to make it. Plus, giving a reward to joining the tourney but taxing them sounds stupid.

We need to encourage people to join tournies, and give them that reward as a little more encouragement. No tax, no 10's or 5's!

If you tax them and if they lose, then they will have to do more work for the site or win more, which causes more participation. Thats if they want to join the next tourney, i would tax some tournies but not all. That's my oppinion, everyone is different though.

Yeah I guess you're right. Anyways, I dont want this limiting members, just as a good incentive to post, and brawl more. Anyways, this is a evolving system, it's not set so any other ideas are appreciated

Advanced Technique. Just a glitch or a special combo/ way to use a move

that works really well. Some are specific to each character, some work for all.

One example is DAC, or dash attack canceling. You run, then press down on the C stick set to smash, to do a dash attack, but IMMEDIATELY! Press up z (assuming z is set to attack)

What happens is that you keep your momentum from using your dash attack, but since you did your upsmash so fast it does that instead, and you slide across the stage really fast still charging your upsmash. It's really cool. Look onto youtube for more stuff.

So tell me... what happens if certain shops don't want to charge people for the sigs they make that serve as a means of entertainment/practice for the sigmaker, and nothing more?

Certain sig shops being the only one on this site? And a certain somebody I'm going to have a chat with about trying to make rules for that certain sig shop without consulting anybody about it.

Yes, we will make them for free. as that is the whole idea of the sig shop.

I didnt get the 200 points if someon pays they get above you, how´s that? and exactly when is this going to be active?

If you think you're really good at say, Lucas.

You pay 200 points to get onto the "character leaderboard". If you lose to someone else's Lucas, in a 3 fight match, then they get their name added to the list, above you for free.

I dont know if its really a good idea though. I was just brainstorming.

Its a litte confusing, one of the most popular ladder in a website called gamebattles the ladder is based on exp pints not to pay points to the list thats what confuses me a little

oh. well gamebattles be lame. i always sandbag on gamebattles. unless i play metaknight. because metaknights are too fun.

but yeah paying points to get passed people on the leaderboard isn't much of a fantastic idea.

Well, beating someone and then having to pay to surpass them doesnt sound too terrific either. But having it all being free leaves another option out of the smash points.
