how about u can challenge someone for the charchter leaderboard, but you have to put a wager on the match?

sooo if im best at sonic (lol hypothetically of course) and someone wants to challenge me then they say so and we play best out of three match. the winner takes 50 smash points from the loser, and gets put on the char leaderboard!

I had planned out smash points being a way to get people to be more active on the site wanting to do more things. For the sig shops, I had planned for this... A person can make a sig and it's fine with giving them out for free. They can also however auction off their sigs so that they make their own currency. So basiclly your getting payed for working hard on a sig, but you could give them out for free. Say your not good at brawl and you don't win any tournaments or you can't become a high ranked person on a leaderboard or something of that sort. You can do stuff that your better at such as something artistic or something creative. That way there isn't just one way to make money. Money could also be used to play games, its not about who is the richest on the forum. Oh so and so is the best member because of the points he has. It's for fun and so that it makes it more interesting.

Yep. BTW Taz, I think another important thing is to not make Smash Points a required thing for a member. If they dont want to take part in it, then they dont have to do all that stuff. Smash Points should be a way to reward, and as a little incentive to be more active.

Exactly, they are a little extra bonus thing on the side. If you do good, you gain currency. The currency is for your own benefits.

Ideas for shopping with Smash Points:
1st: Changing the color of your name. (For example Admin and Moderators have different colors, maybe you can change the color of your name so it is different from everybody else.
2st: Buy a private room in Ventrillo, where you have a special password so you can invite friends.
3st: Make it that to change the color of your letters or font in your posts cost Smash Points.
4st: You unlock an arcade game with Smash Points or maybe a special video that teaches an AT or any technique.

Hanzo all of the ways I listed were suggestions. They aren't currently being applied.

The only way to get Smash Points as of now is to win tournies and win various events the Events Team comes up with.

#1: Well.. most of the coloring was to determine staff members but I have made this a prize for the 2v2 tournament, so obviously I like the idea.

#2: No... this sounds stupid... You can make your own vent chatroom anyway for free anytime you'd want to...

#3: No way! Every member should be allowed to use olive, cyan, or orange or whatever if they want to in their posts. Though it is well established that several members use different colors, I think it should be open for all.

#4: I like the arcade part. Too bad we don't have that many games to provide as it is. As for AT's, we should always give those out without hesitation. We are not going to force members to participate in tournaments just to find out some essential brawl AT that they should know already... we're here to help eachother Smile

I thought of something else...
Fifth: -Change the color of the box in which the post is in! For example, this one around my post. See how it is black, maybe you could change the color of it with smash points or without 'em, so it gives more color to the forums.
